Dreading being alone on New years Eve? Day #9

Are you dreading being alone on New years Eve? You don't have any plans in the next few days? Hey why don't you turn your New Year's experience around by creating your own fun cool celebration?!?!?!?

I have 3 exciting ideas below. And I have tried all of them in the past and will DEFINITELY always continue to do it again!!!

even though i'm a big time social person, I totally loooove being alone!

i thought i would share . Hope this helps!

this is NOT how i feel. why should YOU? being alone doesn't have to be sad.

  1. Try something new! an interest or a hobby you always dreamt about!!! Find a meet-up group or an art, dance, spanish, gym or cooking class that will inspire you. Just anything. Register and join in 2015! i did! it was so hard but i did it.  My dance class!
 2. Go out to the movies alone. You don't have to plan or coordinate with others. pick that movie that you've been dying to see. Dress up! look nice. sit in the backof the theatre alone, slouch in the chair and enjoy the film! i looove this feeling, if you're scared to go alone, that's ok. this will push you out of your comfort zone and learn to enjoy your own company. if you don't like being with yourself, why would others enjoy being with you? think about it

3. travel alone! choose a place you have always wanted to visit. somewhere that will touch to your soul. Choose a cottage where you can ride horses, ski, hike, meditate. book the flight, rent a car. whatever. just trust me, when i leave the comfort of my condo and travel alone it pushes me to really get to know me. i do it ALLL the time.

Remember, you're never really alone. The Lord is always by your side.

John 10:30 says "I and the Father are one.”

You can do it!

Beat the Holiday Blues Day # 7 "Arise, for it is your duty, Be strong and brave and do it".

This week I was nervous about my accomplishing certain things in my future. There's things I want to do but was procrastinating. To be honest I'm still struggling a teenie weenie bit but this bible verse and Nike just pushed me. Funny how the bible and Nike have so much in common!!! lol!!! i love that the Lord is so practical with me. He makes my like so simple.

Ezra 10:4  says "Arise, for it is your duty, and we are with you. Be strong and brave and do it".

Nike says"Just do it". Get off your azz and follow the words in the pic above. Why don't you give it a shot? Be strong, be brave and do it. That's what  intend to to this week and I'm going to take some large leaps! I already took some huge risks today and feel brave.

I am strong, I am courageous, I am smart, I am brave, I am a warrior oh and I'm cute too!

TIP# 6 don't stress to clean ANY messes this christmas right away. Its not necessary, just relax till tomorrow. . My merry christmas was filled with food and opening gifts, ripped wrapping paper and sleeping bags, appetizers, tablets, laptops, phones and cups of punch everywhere. So my motto is, "don't stress, it's Christmas Day, enjoy your mess"

Use your smart phone, journal or calendar to mark it down and don't try to over please people. If you can't make an event RSVP in a timely fashion not to disappoint the host.

Take time to relax. Working overtime or studying for school exams can be veerrrryyy overwhelming. I know saying "oh just relax and take time for yourself" is way easier said than done. But honestly this is a MUST over the holiday season.

look familiar? is this you?

Promise yourself to log off the computer today for 30 minutes. Yup, just 30 mins, put your phone down! Give these ideas a try:

  • find pretty christmas trees on display in your neighbourhood and gaze at it while you sip a coffee or tea and think of nothing except the bright lights and admire the ornaments
  •  Just look up at the stars tonight with your hot cocoa, take a deep breath and relax.
  • invite a friend who you promised to "do coffee with" and just never found the time. Now's your chance. 30 minutes! simple!
  • or try to take a hot bath while reading a novel tonight, light some candles. Just do it. you deserve it

This Lady in BLUE beats the holiday BLUES DAY#1

The holidays can be so fun and festive yet kinda stressful and give us the blues.

I'm wearing blue and not feeling blue! you can too!
it feels kinda scrooge-ish to say we sometimes secretly dread the holiday season but for many this is a reality.

Over the next 10 days I'm going to share with you 10 secret ways to BEAT the BLAH BLUES this holiday season.

it's easy to get caught up in the hussle and bussle but we can overcome those stressful days.

BLUE BUSTER TIP#1:

"I haven't started my shopping and it seems like the rest of the world is almost done!!! I feel overwhelmed! i feel so disorganized!

TIP: Don't stress yourself out! calm down and let's keep this simple. Perhaps buy for only children this year and purchase everyone else a starbucks, movie or gas gift card.  Place the gift card inside a Christmas card and write a sweet note: ‘Enjoy movie night! You deserve it!'" Make it thoughtful by putting a sparkly bow on the envelope or by using a fun gift bag. Hey, why not include a tiny token gift with the gift card a like key chain with the gas card, a box of chocolate-covered espresso beans with the Starbucks card or a tin can of Christmas colored popcorn with the movie card!

  • Your mind says "but that idea sucks? people will think I'm so boring and thoughtless
  • Reality is "this idea is simple, you are thoughtful and this is achievable".
  • Done! Simple Solution. Shopping is done

Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated. ~Confucius

Here's an awesome easy link to get your giftcards easy and quick! and the funds go towards a great cause
