Just the two of us, we can make it if we try
Just the two of us, just the two of us
Building castles in the sky
Just the two of us, you and I
It was a thinner thanksgiving, not a big attendee list, a rather thin one... Just the 2 of us...me and my son. it was scary at first because I thought I wasn't enough. How can a traditional Thanksgiving family festivity be just the 2 of us? then i reflected...Hmmmm....i AM enough! i'm his mom and he's my travel partner in crime. We've done Hollywood we can do it again. So we took off to a secret weekend getaway in Burlington where we could do outdoorsy things and be away from all the city drama hussle and bussle. My city boy was so at peace. It was beautiful, peaceful, therapeutic.
We baked, yes, yes I baked, please stop gasping and rolling your eyes!!! We went to a nice fancy dinner, went to the farm a tractor ride, apple picking, a morning walk through nature and talked about life.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
we ate more than picked |
Terehz used the words harvesty , livestalky, grains and pioneer-ish to describe thanksgiving. too funny! |
VIP seating in the tractor, i was wearing stilettos, oh geez! |
yes, my city boy does hard labour...eh hem, sometimes |
Oh btw, we made a yummy recipe with the delicious apples we picked! you gotta try it out! It's super easy. Here's the link http://wenderly.com/2010/10/06/brown-sugar-cinnamon-baked-apples/...
I AM eeeee-nough for my baby boy. I am thankful that I have the time and the means to make this happen.
