"9/11 An attack on one is an attack on all." Lord Robertson, NATO Secretary

I wrote this back in April 26, 2007....i thought i would add it to my blog for Sept 11, 2014. Quite fitting...

I remember enjoying my bday back in 2001, then i woke up the next morning and i didn't see the sun. instead, the sky became very dark and the world just stopped. the two towers went down and my heart just dropped. 9/10 was a beautiful day right up until midnite and then 9/11's reality took over the earth's bright light. that year i felt so much sorrow for every victim and hero so i payed my respects by visiting the sacred ground zero. now, 6 yrs later, there's still a darkness on that day. so i try to cherish every moment of my special september 10th birthday. i plan a party and spend time with my family every 9/10 but i always dread the next morning and hope 9/11 will never ever happen again.

I meditated on this bible verse and found it extremely comforting and powerful.

John 16:33 says:

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
With a just God as our guide, let us honor those who have been lost; let us rededicate ourselves to the ideals that define our nation, and let us look to the future with hearts full of hope. May God bless the memory of those we lost, and may God Bless the United States of America. ~Barack Obama, Sept 11, 2011
